The Google Nexus 4 which was launched globally last year around October-November period is set to launch in India around May 15th 2013. The Nexus 4 is the latest version on the original Google Android phones that are designed by Google itself. Design and Look of the Nexus 4
The Google Nexus 4 has the design of a regular high end touchscreen smartphone. The weight of the smartphone is around 139 gm and it is a pretty good looking smartphone. It has a multi touch capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and proximity sensors. The Nexus 4 has a vibrant display screen but the drawback is that the screen is only 4.7 inches which is lesser than the 5 inch display screen phones which have become very popular. The display has a Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The Google Nexus 4 is highly popular with people looking for a pure Android experience without any UI skins of other manufacturers on the operating system.
The Nexus 4 has both primary and secondary cameras. The primary camera is an 8 MP camera with LED flash and has most of the features that are found in high end smartphones today like auto focus, face detection etc. The customer can record videos of 1080 p @ 30 fps. The secondary camera is a basic 1.3 MP camera.
Memory, Sound and Battery
The Google Nexus 4 comes in two variants. One variant has 16 MB storage space while the other has 32 MB storage space. The drawback of this device is that there is no external memory slot on the phone so there is no external expandable memory option for the phone. However the smartphone has a 2 GB RAM which is impressive. The sound system is pretty good. It has a loudspeaker and a 3.5 mm jack. One of the best features of the phone is that it has a strong battery life. It has a non removable battery LiPo 2100 mAh which last for quite some time and the response towards the battery life has been very positive.
Processor and Operating System
The LG Google Nexus 4 has a Quad Core 1.5 GHz Krait processor which is pretty competitive in the segment. It has an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version of the Android operating system which is its latest version. To enjoy this version of Android without an UI skins from other manufacturers, Google Nexus is the perfect phone.
The Google Nexus 4 is being released in India around the Rs 25,990 price range and is available in stores as well as on online selling websites. Vivo partners with China Mobile to drive 5G advancement
Vivo announced its partnership with China Mobile on the “China Mobile 5G Device Forerunner Initiative” at the GTI Summit 2018 at Mobile World Congress. The “China Mobile 5G Device Forerunner Initiative” led by China Mobile brings together more than 20 of the industry’s most influential and capable chipset manufacturers, component manufacturers and end-solution providers, forming a strong industry ecosystem for 5G development.
Vivo outlines 5G device commercialization

5G networks will deliver higher speeds, lower latency and more bandwidth than ever. As applications of these key features in mobile communications broaden, 5G devices will take on different forms. While AR/VR and wearables continue to evolve, the 5G smartphone will continue to be the core platform for mobile users with its unmatched user base size.
Vivo believes the 5G smartphone will act as a hub for Smart Sensors, Smart Control and Smart Services. Smartphones will detect and analyze user behaviour, form a control centre for the Internet of things and deliver personalized AI-enabled services. Vivo also plans to launch its 5G pre-commercial devices by 2019 and officially release a commercial 5G smartphone by 2020.
Long-term commitment to 5G development
Vivo began its research into 5G not long after the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) shared their vision of 5G. Vivo set up its 5G Research Institute in Beijing in 2016 and became one of the largest device providers at the 3GPP group to help develop 5G technologies. In the past year, Vivo has activated 5G antenna and frequency related development to further accelerate Vivo’s pace of 5G innovation. Vivo’s partnership with China Mobile on 5G started in 2016 with a joint solution that reduces power consumption of 5G devices. Vivo was also a key contributor to the China. Mobile led GTI 5G Device Whitepaper and China Mobile 5G Technical Requirements for Large Scale Field Trial.
