The Internet of Things is a phrase that we are starting to hear a lot more recently. The term itself was coined back in 1999 but it is only now that we have seen it in fruition and actually manifesting itself into people’s lives. The internet of things happens when physical objects are connected to the Internet and have the ability to identify themselves to other devices. This can result in some major advances in terms of improving the fluidity of operations in the home, office or other settings.
This info-graphic from Half Price Shutters in Australia covers the topic of the Internet of Things in the home and gives some examples that are available right now.
